ACADEMIC
INTEGRITY OBJECTIVE:
Here again is a sample objective. You can obtain more
information on the survey
from the Rocky Mountain Behavioral
Science Institute.
[ I never found objectives all that much fun and they can be rather tricky
to write in order to get measurable results. I was glad to see someone with
a decent survey and an objective that deals with attitudinal changes, all
part of the general AFG process.]
By
the year 2006, the students of MLHS will demonstrate an understanding of
academic integrity as indicated by the following
measures:
1) a
5 percentage point improvement in students’ positive responses to each of
the following items on the Rocky Mountain Science Institute “Prevention
Planning Survey”:
Baseline
Data: May, 2000 (administered to 90% of the student body)
| A Lot | Some | Not Much | Not At All | No Response | |
| It's bad to cheat | 37.6 | 36.3 | 16.1 | 4.6 | 5.4 |
| A Lot | Some | Not Much | Not At All | No Response | |
| I cheat in school. | 3.3 | 15.2 | 36.1 | 40.0 | 5.4 |

man does what he must—in spite of personal consequences, in spite
of obstacles and dangers and pressures—and that is the basis of all
human morality."
